Create the Life You Want To Have
Individuals seek counseling for a wide variety of reasons, including (but not limited to):
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Grief and Loss
- Emotional Regulation
- Self-esteem
- Family of Origin
- Emotional and Sexual Intimacy
- Infidelity / Affair Recovery
- Divorce Recovery
- Relationship issues
Indeed, many individuals initiate counseling because of relationship issues, whether with a spouse or significant other, a child, one’s own parents or siblings, a friend or professional colleagues. The core communication, conflict management and relationship skills from the Relationship Enhancement® approach are ideally suited to help individuals begin to alter their patterns of behavior in more helpful directions and in this way improve one’s interpersonal relationships. The Center therefore offers specialized forms of relationship-focused individual counseling:
“Individual” Couple Counseling
Even when one partner in a couple refuses or is unable to come for counseling, we can help the other partner to develop and apply a variety of communication, conflict management and other relationship skills aimed at developing cooperation, increasing mutual understanding, and creating an atmosphere in which relationship issues can be resolved constructively.
“Individual” Family Counseling
Even when one or more family members refuse or are unable to come for counseling, we can help the attending family member(s) to develop and apply a variety of communication, conflict management and relationship skills aimed at developing family cooperation, increasing mutual understanding among family members, and creating an atmosphere in which family issues can be resolved constructively.
